The county seat of Lake County, Crown Point is a city of over 30,000 people. It was founded in 1868 and settled in by the Robinson family. Given its location within the county, it's also referred to as the "Hub of Lake County". It has a variety of unique shops, award-winning restaurants and top-rated schools. Some of the most notable neighborhoods in Crown Point are Stonegate, Shady Lawn/Wald View, Hawthorne Hills, Lakes of the Four Seasons, Copper Creek, Liberty Park and City center.
